Meet the Author
Kent Huffman is an accomplished marketing and customer experience executive. He currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer & Managing Partner at DigiMark Partners and is the founder and Co-Publisher of Social Media Marketing Magazine, a digital publication written by the leading CMOs, marketing book authors, and marketing professors around the world who are active on social media.
Previously, Kent held the positions of Chief Marketing Officer at BearCom Wireless, Vice President of Marketing at CompuCom Systems, Global Marketing Communications Director at Perot Systems (now Dell Services), and founder of his own boutique marketing consulting firm, Marketek Media.
Kent was recently selected by Thomson Reuters to author a chapter for Aspatore Books' "Inside the Minds" series, entitled Maximizing Your Marketing Efforts: Leading CMOs on Overcoming Budget Constraints, Positioning Your Brand, and Harnessing Creativity, as well as an electronic report for its CMO Leadership Series, both of which were published and made available worldwide. Kent has also written a number of marketing-related articles and blog posts for various magazines and websites, and he has been featured or quoted in several high-profile printed and online publications, including Forbes Magazine, Entrepreneur Magazine, CMO.com, Marketing News Magazine, MarketingProfs.com, BtoB Magazine, Business.com, Computerworld.com, and Texas Technology Magazine.
Kent holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Texas State University and is accredited as a Certified Business Communicator (CBC) by the Business Marketing Association. He also sits on the Customer Experience Corporate Advisory Board for the CMO Council.
When Kent isn't working, writing, or thinking about working or writing, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends boating and fishing on Lake Fork in beautiful East Texas.
